So recently I’ve gotten into a little bit of shaking. Is “shaking” even a thing? Anyways, what I mean is that I’ve been making shakes lately. Or is it smoothies? Hello. Either way, I think you know what I’m talking about. I enjoy it! However, I really don’t use it as a meal replacement (it can be though), but I do use it as a bridge to hold me over until my next meal. Example – on a day off I might go the gym around 3pm, finish up around 4:30ish and so what do I do while I cook or run an errand or two before dinner? You got it…I shake it up…with a smoothie. Ha!
This smoothie concoction is made up of:
- 1 banana
- 1 cutie
- 1 handful of spinach
- 3 spoonfuls of Greek yogurt
- 1 big spoonful of almond butter
- 2 scoops of Ka’Chava vegan protein powder
- Frozen berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries – store bought)
Side notes:
- I’ve been using water lately, but I also use almond milk
- This smoothie didn’t have it, but I also toss in some old fashioned oats, especially if I’m trying to make this a meal replacement
- I use the Nutri Ninja Pro blender
