It’s Personal

Social programs are a wonderful idea. It is meant to help those who need it, back on to their feet and eventually get off the program and thrive and flourish on their own.

People need these programs. We are and should be helping our fellow humans.

As I continue to do my rotation with the WIC (women, infants and children) program and working with other public health programs, I’ve come to realize the sad reality that our country’s (I may be generalizing from the point if view from my county) social programs are either…

…being abused or underused.

Personal responsibility is a must.
