Another one of the most recent books I’ve read, Angelmaker by Nick Harkaway. I should first start by saying that I a big non-fiction reader. My last fiction book I read was the Hunger Games series. So it’s been a while. With that being said, it took me a chapter or two to really follow and understand the story, but once I had my mind and imagination right, this book easily became I book I couldn’t put down.
If you like mystery, spy, thriller, love story, coming of age, science fiction…any other genre…this book probably has it!
The gist of the story is about a man, Joe Spork, and how his life got intertwined with a spy (Edie Banister) who is trying to stop an evil man (Shem Shem Tsien) from destroying the world with a machine that was created by a genius scientist (Françoise “Frankie” Fossoyeur). The story picks up very quickly. There’s no real down time. Even when the story transitions to the characters back stories, it’s immerses you.
Because this book covers it all, I recommend this book to all 🙂
